THIS PAGE: Daniel Woods cutting loose on the upper section of his epic highball line The Process at the Peabody Boulders, Bishop, California, in early 2015. Woods finally succeeded on the problem on 28th January this year, giving it V16 - the highest grade in bouldering. It is likely to be one of the hardest boulder problems in the world. Due to the considerable height of the problem (the top is over 9 metres) if it were in the UK such a line would be rated E10/11; The Process shows how the modern highball culture is shifting the boundary between bouldering and soloing.
